Gomes Gaming CEO, Dennis Gomes, announces
Resorts Hotel and Casino Official Property Theme
Resorts Atlantic City kicks off the beginning of the modern day 1920’s
(Atlantic City, NJ) October 7, 2010 – It was an era that embodied class and sophistication while an underground culture rose to be one of the most exciting, decadent and luxurious in American history. Resorts Atlantic City will turn back the clock as it embraces Atlantic City’s storied past and celebrates the Roaring 20’s with its new 1920’s theme. 1920’s was more than just a decade in a history book. It was a decade that defined and shaped our nation,” said Dennis Gomes, Owner, President and C.E.O. “Beyond that, it was fun, adventurous and exciting. A period in time where people simply let loose to give way to a lifestyle where entertainment was king. Resorts will be all of that. It will define and shape the direction Atlantic City needs to take to survive in an increasingly competitive market. It will be luxurious, it will be fun and it will be one of the leading entertainment spots in Atlantic City,” continued Gomes.
Resorts Atlantic City’s rich history compliments the new direction the property is taking to move forward into a prosperous new era with a refreshing, exhilarating infusion of history and indulgence. Entertainment will reign supreme during the new era at Resorts. Singing bartenders, crooning waiters, flappers and more are the beginning of what is in store at Resorts as the property transitions into a world-class resort worthy of the original 1920’s era cultural icons. Employees will be part of the show with custom made uniforms which will replicate the fashion styles of the Roaring 20’s. The appeal of this new theme is evident by the popularity of the new Martin Scorsese HBO series, “Boardwalk Empire,” which features a skyline view of the Chalfont-Haddon Hall Hotel that, today, is Resorts. It is one of the few buildings from that era still in existence in Atlantic City. The grand re-opening of Atlantic City’s first casino resort, will take place in December when Gomes Gaming takes ownership of the property.
